Woodland Veil CO₂ Wax — Pure, Solid, Uncompromised

Viola odorata — the sweet violet, whose leaves have long been prized by perfumers for a green, cool, powdery character quite different from the flower itself — is already part of our range as a solvent-extracted absolute. This CO₂ wax offers a genuinely distinct second expression of the same plant, capturing the waxy, lipid-rich side of the leaf in a way the absolute alone does not.

Supplied here in its pure, undiluted, solid wax form — exactly as extracted, with no carrier of any kind added. This is the genuine article for perfumers who prefer to prepare their own dilutions, or who want to work directly with the material in its most concentrated and authentic state.

Scent Profile

A green, softly powdery aroma with an earthy freshness — cool and leafy rather than sweetly floral. A smooth, waxy texture sits beneath the green top, lending the material a calm, velvety, skin-like quality.

Perfumery Applications

A versatile heart note for green florals, chypre-style compositions and soft powdery accords, where it brings a cool, leafy transparency. Used alongside our Violet Leaf Absolute, it allows perfumers to build a layered violet leaf accord spanning two distinct extraction methods.

Usage Note

This wax is solid at room temperature. To prepare for use, gently warm in a water bath at around 90°C to melt it into a liquid, then dilute with your solvent of choice according to your own formulation preferences.

Blending Suggestions

Pairs beautifully with galbanum, rose, jasmine, orris, oakmoss, vetiver, bergamot, sandalwood and soft musks.
