Smoked Tobacco Leaf CO₂ Wax — Pure, Solid, Uncompromised

Our existing African Tobacco Leaf Absolute captures the classical solvent-extracted character of Nicotiana tabacum — but this CO₂ wax offers a genuinely different expression of the same plant, extracted to preserve its full lipid complexity in concentrated, solid wax form. A second, distinct way to explore tobacco leaf's warm, smoky depth.

Supplied here in its pure, undiluted, solid wax form — exactly as extracted, with no carrier of any kind added. This is the genuine article for perfumers who prefer to prepare their own dilutions, or who want to work directly with the material in its most concentrated and authentic state.

Scent Profile

Warm, leathery, and smoky-sweet — a genuinely earthy tobacco character with real depth, considerably rounder and more concentrated than the conventional solvent-extracted absolute. Rich and grounded, with the characteristic dried-leaf warmth that makes tobacco such a valued base material in fine perfumery.

Perfumery Applications

An excellent base note for oriental, leather, and gourmand compositions where genuine tobacco depth is required. Its concentrated wax form gives it real staying power as a foundational material. Used alongside our African Tobacco Leaf Absolute, it allows perfumers to build a genuinely layered tobacco accord spanning two distinct extraction methods.

Usage Note

This wax is solid at room temperature. To prepare for use, gently warm in a water bath at around 90°C to melt it into a liquid, then dilute with your solvent of choice according to your own formulation preferences.

Blending Suggestions

Pairs beautifully with leather accords, oud, vetiver, labdanum, oakmoss, sandalwood, cedarwood, vanilla, tonka bean, rum and whisky accords, and dark resinous materials.
