Pure Neroli Essential Oil (Citrus aurantium)
Origin: Native to Southeast Asia, now primarily cultivated in Tunisia, Morocco, Egypt, France, and Italy. Tunisia is the largest producer. The oil is steam-distilled from the fresh blossoms of the bitter orange tree, which belongs to the Rutaceae (citrus) family. Neroli is one of three oils produced from the same tree – petitgrain is distilled from the leaves and twigs, and bitter orange oil is cold-pressed from the fruit peel. The name "neroli" is believed to derive from Anna Maria de la Tremoille, Princess of Nerola, who popularised the oil in the 17th century by using it to perfume her gloves and bathwater. It has been a cornerstone of fine perfumery for centuries.
Scent: Fresh, bright, and exquisitely floral with a sweet, honeyed, luminous character. Delicate and radiant – there's a distinctive, green, slightly citrusy freshness balanced by a soft, warm, powdery depth. Subtly spicy and earthy with a faint, bittersweet, almost metallic undertone. Light, ethereal, and beautifully complex – at once fresh and warm, green and sweet, delicate and rich. One of the most refined, elegant, and universally admired scents in perfumery. Remarkably long-lasting for a floral oil, developing and evolving beautifully over time.
