Moroccan Azure Bloom CO₂ Wax — Pure, Solid, Uncompromised
Blue tansy — Tanacetum annuum — is instantly recognisable by its deep, striking azure colour, caused by naturally high concentrations of chamazulene. Often confused with Moroccan chamomile, it is in fact a genuinely distinct species with its own unmistakable character. This CO₂ wax offers a rare, concentrated expression of the plant, capturing its full lipid and aromatic complexity in a way the familiar steam-distilled essential oil does not achieve.
Supplied here in its pure, undiluted, solid wax form — exactly as extracted, with no carrier of any kind added. This is the genuine article for perfumers who prefer to prepare their own dilutions, or who want to work directly with the material in its most concentrated and authentic state.
Scent Profile
Warm, herbaceous, and surprisingly sweet — a honeyed, chamomile-adjacent character with gentle fruity undertones that soften what might otherwise be a sharp, medicinal herbal note. Considerably rounder and more complex than the conventional essential oil, with a genuine depth that develops beautifully over time.
Perfumery Applications
A genuinely distinctive material for herbal, chamomile-adjacent, and soft gourmand compositions where real botanical complexity is wanted. Its striking natural colour and honeyed-herbaceous character make it a compelling addition to skincare-adjacent perfumery and spa-inspired fragrances.
Usage Note
This wax is solid at room temperature. To prepare for use, gently warm in a water bath at around 90°C to melt it into a liquid, then dilute with your solvent of choice according to your own formulation preferences.
Blending Suggestions
Pairs beautifully with chamomile, lavender, clary sage, bergamot, rose absolute, sandalwood, and soft musks.
