Lily Essential Oil (Lilium)

Origin: Native to the eastern Mediterranean region, particularly the Balkans, Turkey, Lebanon, and Israel. Now cultivated across southern Europe, particularly France and Italy. The oil is extracted from the fresh flowers of the Madonna lily, which belongs to the Liliaceae (lily) family. The Madonna lily is one of the oldest cultivated ornamental plants in the world, with depictions dating back to ancient Minoan, Greek, and Roman civilisations. It has deep cultural and symbolic significance across many traditions, particularly associated with purity and devotion in Christian art and iconography. 

Scent: Rich, sweet, and lushly floral with a fresh, green, luminous character. Opulent and heady – there's a distinctive, clean, waxy, white-floral sweetness balanced by a subtle, cool, dewy freshness.
