Jasmine Grandi Essential Oil (Jasminum grandiflorum)

Origin: Sourced from India, where jasmine has been deeply revered in cultural, ceremonial, and aromatic traditions for thousands of years. India is one of the world's most important producers of jasmine oil. The oil is produced using a hexane-free organic extraction method from the fresh flowers of the jasmine plant, which belongs to the Oleaceae (olive) family. The flowers are hand-picked in the early morning hours before sunrise, when their fragrance is at its most intense. This particular oil is sourced from jasmine plants grown on unpolluted, sustainable land, reflecting a commitment to responsible agricultural practices. The hexane-free organic extraction method offers a cleaner, more environmentally responsible process while preserving the full, rich, aromatic character of the flowers. Jasminum grandiflorum is distinct from Jasminum sambac (Arabian jasmine), which has a different, more intensely sweet, heavier scent profile.

Appearance: Amber orange to reddish brown coloured mobile liquid.

Perfumery Note: Middle to base.

Scent: Rich, warm, and intensely floral with a deep, sweet, honeyed character. Lush and heady – there's a distinctive, opulent, jasmine sweetness balanced by a subtle, green, slightly herbaceous freshness. Faintly fruity and musky with a delicate, warm, almost tea-like depth. Subtly animalic and waxy with a gentle, powdery, balsamic undertone. Dense, sensual, and extraordinarily long-lasting – a classic, intoxicating, deeply romantic floral scent of remarkable richness and complexity. One of the most iconic and universally revered floral materials in the history of perfumery.

Uses:

  • A cornerstone of natural perfumery – one of the most iconic and prized floral materials, adding extraordinary richness, honeyed depth, and opulent, sensual warmth to blends
  • A beautiful addition to diffuser blends, bringing a warm, lush, romantic atmosphere to any space

  • A luxurious addition to artisan cosmetic formulations including creams and lotions
