Jade Blossom Gardenia Absolute — The Cherished White Bloom of China

Gardenia has been cherished in Chinese gardens for centuries, its waxy white blossoms prized for a fragrance that is at once lush, creamy and unmistakable. This solvent-extracted absolute of Gardenia jasminoides from China captures that character in concentrated form: an intensely floral, warm heart with a soft, powdery, faintly oud-like depth that sets it apart from the more familiar jasmine and tuberose.

The pure absolute is dense and slow to pour, so we supply it at 30% in our Natural TEC — a smooth, dropper-ready liquid that is simple to measure and blend.

Scent Profile

A strong, true gardenia opening gives way to soft, creamy petal sweetness, then develops into smooth, enveloping floral tones with a warm, powdery, slightly woody undertone. An intensely floral material of middle-to-base character with excellent presence in a composition.

Perfumery Applications

An outstanding material for white floral accords, from classic gardenia and tuberose bouquets to modern oriental and amber structures where a creamy, powdery floral heart is wanted. It also lends depth to jasmine, ylang ylang and orange blossom accords.

Blending Suggestions

Harmonises beautifully with Ylang Ylang, Jasmine, Tuberose, Neroli and Rose. It also pairs well with sandalwood, vanilla, benzoin, warm spice oils and bright citrus notes.

Documentation Note

This product is prepared in-house by diluting the absolute at 30% with Natural TEC. The original supplier's COA and SDS for the pure absolute, along with the carrier's own COA/SDS, are available on request.
