Honey Myrtle Essential Oil (Melaleuca teretifolia)

Origin: Native to Australia, primarily found in the coastal and wetland regions of Western Australia and New South Wales. The oil is steam-distilled from the leaves and twigs of the honey myrtle, which belongs to the Myrtaceae (myrtle) family. It is a close relative of tea tree (Melaleuca alternifolia) but produces a distinctly different, sweeter oil. Honey myrtle gets its name from the delicate, honey-scented flowers of the plant. It remains a lesser-known but highly regarded oil among artisan perfumers and blenders.

Scent: Sweet, warm, and gently honeyed with a soft, floral, herbaceous character. Smooth and delicate — there's a light, slightly citrusy brightness balanced by a warm, balsamic, woody depth. Subtly spicy with a faint, clean, tea-tree-like freshness underneath, though much softer and sweeter.
