Ember Spice CO₂ Wax — Pure, Solid, Uncompromised

Clove — Syzygium aromaticum — is one of the great spices of the world and a long-standing favourite in perfumery, where its glowing warmth sits at the heart of classic spiced-floral and carnation accords. This CO₂ wax is the wax fraction from supercritical extraction, offering the character of clove in a concentrated solid form that suits solid perfumes, balms and other anhydrous work.

Supplied here in its pure, undiluted, solid wax form — exactly as extracted, with no carrier of any kind added. This is the genuine article for perfumers who prefer to prepare their own dilutions, or who want to work directly with the material in its most concentrated and authentic state.

Warm and spicy, with the unmistakable glow of clove — a deep, comforting spice that reads as rich and enveloping rather than sharp.

Perfumery Applications

Ideal for solid perfumes, balms and other anhydrous formulations, and a natural choice for spiced orientals, warm gourmand and mulled-spice accords, tobacco and leather structures, and carnation-style spicy florals. Clove is powerful, so start with a trace and build gradually.

Usage Note

This wax is solid at room temperature. To prepare for use, gently warm in a water bath at around 90°C to melt it into a liquid, then dilute with your solvent of choice according to your own formulation preferences.

Blending Suggestions

Pairs beautifully with orange and other citrus, cinnamon, cardamom, vanilla, benzoin, labdanum, patchouli, sandalwood, rose, ylang ylang and tobacco.

Safety Information

For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes and sensitive areas. Not suitable for use on babies, children, pets or broken skin. Avoid use during pregnancy or whilst nursing. Clove contains eugenol, a recognised skin sensitiser and one of the declarable fragrance allergens; use at low levels and check current IFRA guidance before using it in finished products. Always dilute properly and perform a patch test before first use.
