Lotus Flower Essential Oil (Nelumbo nucifera)

Family: Nelumbonaceae
Origin: Upper Egypt
Part Used: Blossoms
Composition: Gentle steam distillation of the Lotus blossoms.
Production Method: Steam Distillation
Main Uses: For perfumery and in creating your own blends. Cosmetic use in creams and lotions,
Note: Middle Note

This rather good Egyptian Lotus essential oil is extracted by steam distillation from the lotus flower which is grown and harvested in Egypt where it has been for thousands of years since the time of the pharaohs. It also contains other nature identical aromatic ingredients which together combine to produce a unique and characteristic Lotus Flower Oil (not a much cheaper fragrance oil). It has a delicate and refined honey sweet floral scent with a green earthy top note.

Egyptian lotus oil can be used not just in perfumery but in many different products including massage oils, lotions and bath oils and other skin care products.

We also have a Blue Egyptian Lotus Nymphaea tetragona (see our other listings for details)
