Copal Blanco Absolute — Ancient Sacred Resin of Mesoamerica

Long before frankincense travelled the trade routes of Arabia, the sacred forests of Mexico yielded their own resinous treasure. Copal Blanco — the white copal of the Aztec and Maya — has been harvested from Bursera bipinnata for thousands of years, burned in ceremony as an offering to the gods, a purifier of spaces, and a bridge between the earthly and the sacred. This absolute brings that ancient lineage into the perfumer's palette in its most concentrated and refined form.

What distinguishes Copal Blanco from the more familiar sacred resins is its character: lighter and more luminous than frankincense, drier and more resinous than elemi, with a transparency that few balsamic materials can match.
