Cologne Garden CO₂ Wax — Pure, Solid, Uncompromised

Eau de Cologne mint — Mentha citrata, also known as bergamot mint or orange mint — is a cultivated mint prized for a scent that sits somewhere between citrus, lavender and mint, which is how it earned its name. This CO₂ wax is extracted from the leaves and offers a rare chance to work with the plant in concentrated, solid form. Despite the "bergamot" in its common name, it is a mint and is not related to the bergamot orange.

Supplied here in its pure, undiluted, solid wax form — exactly as extracted, with no carrier of any kind added. This is the genuine article for perfumers who prefer to prepare their own dilutions, or who want to work directly with the material in its most concentrated and authentic state.

Scent Profile

Fresh citrus with a soft, gentle mint and delicate floral notes — bright and clean without the sharp, cooling edge of peppermint.

Perfumery Applications

Well suited to solid perfumes, balms and other anhydrous formulations, and to grooming and beard-care products. It is a natural choice for fresh citrus colognes, herbal fougères and clean, green accords prepared as your own dilutions. Introduce it gradually when building a composition.

Usage Note

This wax is solid at room temperature. To prepare for use, gently warm in a water bath at around 90°C to melt it into a liquid, then dilute with your solvent of choice according to your own formulation preferences.

Blending Suggestions

Pairs beautifully with lavender, bergamot, neroli, petitgrain, rosemary, clary sage, vetiver, oakmoss, cedarwood and soft musks.
