Monsoon Citrus CO₂ Wax — Pure, Solid, Uncompromised

Lemongrass — Cymbopogon citratus — is a tall tropical grass whose leaves smell of fresh lemon and cut grass in equal measure. It is usually met as a sharp, bright distilled oil. This CO₂ wax is extracted from the leaves and offers a smoother, more rounded way to work with the same plant, as a concentrated solid that suits solid perfumes, balms and other anhydrous work.

Supplied here in its pure, undiluted, solid wax form — exactly as extracted, with no carrier of any kind added. This is the genuine article for perfumers who prefer to prepare their own dilutions, or who want to work directly with the material in its most concentrated and authentic state.

Scent Profile

A bright, smooth citrus aroma with green, grassy notes — lemon peel and freshly cut leaf, softer and rounder than the distilled oil.

Perfumery Applications

Well suited to solid perfumes, balms and other anhydrous formulations, and to fresh citrus, green, herbal and fougère compositions where a natural, grassy lemon note is wanted. Introduce it gradually when building a composition.

Usage Note

This wax is solid at room temperature. To prepare for use, gently warm in a water bath at around 90°C to melt it into a liquid, then dilute with your solvent of choice according to your own formulation preferences.

Blending Suggestions

Pairs beautifully with bergamot, lemon, lime, neroli, petitgrain, lavender, geranium, ginger, basil, vetiver, cedarwood and soft musks.

For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes and sensitive areas. Not suitable for use on babies, children, pets or broken skin. Avoid use during pregnancy or whilst nursing. Lemongrass materials can contain citral, a known skin sensitiser and one of the declarable fragrance allergens; use at low levels and check current IFRA guidance before using it in finished products. Always dilute properly and perform a patch test before first use.
