✦ CHAMELI ATTAR - The Essence of Pure Jasmine ✦
Few flowers in the world carry the same depth of meaning, beauty, and fragrance as jasmine. Chameli Attar captures the true, living scent of jasmine in full bloom - rich, heady, and intoxicatingly floral - as it has been treasured across India, Arabia, and Persia for thousands of years.
"Chameli" is the Hindi and Urdu name for jasmine, particularly Jasminum sambac - the small, intensely fragrant white flower revered in Indian culture as a symbol of love, purity, and devotion.
THE SCENT PROFILE
Chameli Attar is one of the most faithful and complete expressions of jasmine in perfumery. Unlike synthetic jasmine fragrances, which often smell sharp or one-dimensional, a true chameli attar captures the full complexity of the living flower - its sweetness, its warmth, its faintly animalic depth, and the soft creaminess that emerges as it dries down on the skin.
The opening is bright and intensely floral, with the characteristic sweet green freshness of freshly picked jasmine blossoms. As it settles, a warm, honeyed richness develops, underpinned by the creamy, woody sandalwood base that gently anchors the florals and extends their life on the skin.

ORIGIN & PRODUCTION
Chameli Attar originates from Kannauj, Uttar Pradesh - India's historic perfume capital, with an attar-making tradition stretching back over 400 years. Fresh jasmine blossoms are hydro-distilled in a traditional copper still (deg) over pure sandalwood oil using the deg-bhapka method, recognised by UNESCO as part of India's intangible cultural heritage. The flowers must be harvested before dawn when their fragrance is at its peak, and the distillation is slow and unhurried - producing a small yield of exceptional depth and quality.

- Meditation & Spiritual Practice: Jasmine holds deep significance in Hindu and Buddhist traditions, where it is used as an offering and an aid to devotional practice. Many find Chameli Attar deeply uplifting and spiritually clarifying.
- Aromatherapy & Wellbeing: Many find the scent of jasmine comforting and grounding, making Chameli Attar a popular choice for moments of self-care and quiet reflection.
- Fragrance Layering: Chameli Attar layers beautifully with rose, oud, sandalwood, and amber-based fragrances, adding a rich floral heart to any blend.
