Cabreuva Essential Oil (Myrocarpus frondosus)

Origin: Native to South America, primarily found in Brazil, Paraguay, and Argentina. The oil is steam-distilled from the wood of the cabreuva tree, which belongs to the Fabaceae (legume) family. Cabreuva is a large, slow-growing tropical hardwood tree that produces a beautifully fragrant timber. The oil is sometimes referred to as "cabreuva balsam" due to its rich, balsamic character. It has been used in South American aromatic traditions and is valued in perfumery as a lesser-known but highly regarded wood oil.

Scent: Soft, warm, and sweetly woody with a rich, balsamic, rosy character. Smooth and refined - there's a distinctive, floral, violet-like quality layered with a gentle, honeyed warmth. Subtly spicy with a faint, dry, resinous depth. Delicate, elegant, and long-lasting - often compared to rosewood for its soft, floral-woody sweetness but with a more balsamic, richer character.
