Authentic Rose oil may form white crystals at room temperature, a natural characteristic that disappears with gentle warming. Lower temperatures may cause the oil to thicken due to crystallization.

The Damask rose, a timeless emblem of sophistication and beauty, has a rich history. Originating in Asia Minor or Damascus, Syria, this flower was revered in ancient cultures. From Indian myths to Ancient Egypt, where it symbolised luxury, the rose has captivated hearts for centuries. The ancient Greek poet Sappho hailed it as the "queen of flowers" in the 6th century BC.
Legends intertwine with the rose's story, with tales of Lakshmi, the Goddess of beauty, born from a rose bud. Initially associated with Aphrodite, the rose gradually became linked to the Virgin Mary in Christianity, with red roses symbolising Christ's blood. Medieval Persian poets considered the rose a divine gift, chosen by Allah to rule over plants.

Cultivated in Bulgaria's Rose Valley since 1652, the Damask rose found its ideal environment. The area's unique soil, climate, and protected location contribute to the exceptional quality of Bulgarian rose oil. With rose production dating back to 1712, approximately 4-5 tons of rose blossoms are required to produce just 1 kg of rose oil or to put it another way it can take 30 roses to produce just one drop of rose oil!. When properly stored, this precious oil retains its properties indefinitely, making it a benchmark of quality in the global market.
