Pure Bay Leaf Essential Oil (Pimenta racemosa)
Plant Part: Leaves
Extraction Method: Steam Distillation
Origin: West Indies
A warm, spicy, and richly aromatic essential oil steam-distilled from the leaves of the Pimenta racemosa tree. The scent is bold and complex with a warm, clove-like spiciness, sweet balsamic undertones, and a subtle hint of anise. It has a deep, masculine character — rich and lingering with a smooth, resinous warmth. A classic ingredient in traditional bay rum blends. Blends beautifully with spicy, citrus, and woody oils.
Note: Pimenta racemosa (West Indian Bay) is not the same as common bay leaf (Laurus nobilis). They are different plants with distinct scent profiles. West Indian Bay has a warmer, spicier character compared to the sharper, more herbaceous scent of true bay laurel.
