✦ ARABIAN BAKHUR ATTAR - The Scent of the Arab World ✦
Bakhur — also commonly spelled Bakhoor — is the name given to the richly fragrant incense blends that have scented the homes, palaces, and gathering places of the Arab world for centuries. Crafted from natural wood chips, precious resins, and costly aromatic oils slowly smouldered over glowing charcoal, bakhur produces one of the most evocative, deeply atmospheric, and instantly recognisable scents in the world. Arabian Bakhur Attar captures that extraordinary incense character - smoky, resinous, warm, and deeply complex - in a pure, alcohol-free perfume oil made for wearing on the skin.
THE SCENT PROFILE
Arabian Bakhur Attar opens with a bold, smoky warmth - immediately reminiscent of incense drifting through a candlelit room. The heart reveals a rich complexity of oud, amber, and rose, woven together with dark resins and a whisper of sweet musk. The sandalwood base carries and extends these layers, slowly mellowing the smokiness into a deeply intimate, warm, and contemplative dry-down.
This is a fragrance of ceremony, depth, and atmosphere - not a light or casual scent. It is bold, characterful, and deeply immersive, built for those who appreciate the full richness of the Arabian incense tradition.

ORIGIN & PRODUCTION
Arabian Bakhur Attar draws on the ancient incense traditions of the Arabian Peninsula, where bakhur has been an integral part of daily life, hospitality, and spiritual practice for thousands of years. The attar is crafted in Kannauj, Uttar Pradesh - India's historic perfume capital, with an attar-making tradition stretching back over 400 years. The fragrance materials are carefully blended and distilled over pure sandalwood oil using the traditional deg-bhapka method of hydro-distillation, recognised by UNESCO as part of India's intangible cultural heritage. No alcohol, no synthetic fixatives - only the finest natural resins, woods, and aromatic materials.
HOW TO WEAR & USES
- Personal Fragrance: Apply sparingly to pulse points - wrists, inner elbows, neck, and behind the ears. Arabian Bakhur Attar is a concentrated and powerful oil - a small amount is sufficient and will last throughout the day and into the evening.
- Meditation & Spiritual Practice: Bakhur has been an integral part of Sufi and broader Middle Eastern spiritual tradition for centuries - burned to purify spaces, welcome guests, and create an atmosphere of reverence and calm. Wearing Arabian Bakhur Attar during prayer, meditation, or breathwork brings that same ceremonial atmosphere to a deeply personal level.
- Home Fragrance: A drop applied to a cold ceramic or unlit candle holder gently releases the incense character into a room, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere without burning.
- Fragrance Layering: Arabian Bakhur Attar adds extraordinary smokiness, depth, and richness when layered with rose, amber, musk, or oud-based fragrances.
- Gift Giving: A bold and memorable gift for lovers of incense, oriental fragrance, Arabian culture, or anyone who appreciates the art of traditional attar-making.
