Pearl Petal CO₂ Wax — Pure, Solid, Uncompromised
Nymphaea lotus — the white Egyptian lotus, also known as the tiger lotus or Egyptian water lily — is a white-flowered water lily that has been admired for thousands of years along the rivers and pools of Africa. It is a true water lily rather than the sacred lotus (Nelumbo nucifera), and a different species from the Nymphaea alba of our White Lotus Absolute. This CO₂ wax is extracted from the flowers and captures the plant's quiet floral character in concentrated, solid form.
Supplied here in its pure, undiluted, solid wax form — exactly as extracted, with no carrier of any kind added. This is the genuine article for perfumers who prefer to prepare their own dilutions, or who want to work directly with the material in its most concentrated and authentic state.
Scent Profile
A delicate floral character with a soft sweetness, gentle green nuances and a subtle powdery finish. It evokes fresh petals and quiet garden air, with a light, rounded quality rather than a heavy or projecting one.
Perfumery Applications
Valued as a base note and fixative, lending a soft, powdery water-flower depth that helps lighter materials last. Well suited to solid perfumes, balms and other anhydrous formulations, and to soft floral and woody compositions. A little goes a long way, and it sits comfortably alongside other delicate materials. Introduce it gradually when building a composition.
Usage Note
This wax is solid at room temperature and melts at roughly 60–70°C. To prepare for use, gently warm in a water bath at around 90°C to melt it into a liquid, then dilute with your solvent of choice according to your own formulation preferences.
Blending Suggestions
Pairs beautifully with sandalwood, rose, jasmine, neroli, orris, benzoin, vanilla, amber accords and soft musks, and with our other lotus materials for a layered water-flower accord.
