Earl Grey Citrus CO₂ Wax — Pure, Solid, Uncompromised

Bergamot is the citrus that gives Earl Grey tea its famous fragrance, and one of the most versatile materials in all of perfumery. This CO₂ wax is extracted from the peel of the bergamot fruit and offers a different way to work with it: as a concentrated solid with the role of a base note and fixative, rather than the fleeting top note of the familiar bergamot oil.

Supplied here in its pure, undiluted, solid wax form — exactly as extracted, with no carrier of any kind added. This is the genuine article for perfumers who prefer to prepare their own dilutions, or who want to work directly with the material in its most concentrated and authentic state.

Scent Profile

Bright citrus with a green, peel-like freshness and soft floral undertones — the classic bergamot character in a waxy form.

Perfumery Applications

Best suited to solid perfumes, balms and other anhydrous formulations, where it brings a refined citrus lift and acts as a fixative. It is also a natural choice for citrus colognes and fresh accords prepared as your own dilutions. Introduce it gradually when building a composition.

Usage Note

This wax is solid at room temperature and melts at roughly 60–70°C. To prepare for use, gently warm in a water bath at around 90°C to melt it into a liquid, then dilute with your solvent of choice according to your own formulation preferences.

Blending Suggestions

Pairs beautifully with neroli, petitgrain, lavender, rose, jasmine, vetiver, cedarwood, sandalwood, labdanum and soft musks, and with our other citrus materials.
