Collection: Natural Perfumery Bases
A perfumery base is a ready-made accord designed to evoke a particular scent, often a flower that cannot be extracted economically, such as hyacinth or boronia. Bases are compounded rather than simply extracted, so they let you work with notes that are otherwise rare, very costly or unavailable.
We state plainly what each base is. Where a base recreates a scent rather than extracting the plant itself, the listing says so, and it is never described as an absolute or an essential oil. Dilutions are always stated, and certificates of analysis and safety data sheets are available on request where our suppliers provide them.
We are adding more bases every week, so do check back often.
