Rosehip Oil - Pure Organically crafted Natural Oil for Skincare
Extracted from the seeds of wild rose hips (Rosa rubiginosa), this organically crafted oil is valued for its exceptional essential fatty acid content and rich colour. Cold-pressed to preserve its natural properties, rosehip oil has become one of the most popular specialty oils in premium natural cosmetic formulations, prized for its unique composition and luxurious feel.
About This Oil
Rosehip oil is cold-pressed from the seeds found within the fruit (hips) of wild rose bushes, which grow across Europe, Asia, and parts of South America. This organically crafted oil (not certified organic) typically has a distinctive golden orange to amber appearance and a characteristic mild, earthy aroma with subtle herbal notes.
Rose hips have been harvested for centuries, with the fruit traditionally valued for various applications. The seeds within these small, bright red fruits yield an oil that has gained widespread recognition as a premium cosmetic ingredient, particularly valued for its impressive essential fatty acid profile.
What sets rosehip oil apart is its exceptionally high content of essential fatty acids, particularly linoleic and linolenic acids, combined with naturally occurring trans-retinoic acid (a form of vitamin A). This unique composition makes it one of the most nutritionally distinctive seed oils available for cosmetic applications.
Rosehip oil has a light to medium texture that absorbs readily into skin. Due to its very high polyunsaturated fatty acid content, this oil is quite delicate and requires careful storage to maintain its quality. When properly handled, it remains a highly valued addition to cosmetic formulations.
