Sun-Ripened Mandarin CO₂ Wax — Sweet Citrus with Soft Floral Warmth

Cold-pressed mandarin oil is a familiar, well-loved citrus material — but this CO₂ wax offers something considerably rarer and more complex. Extracted from red mandarin peel, it captures not just the bright volatile citrus top notes but the full lipid and aromatic complexity locked within the peel itself, yielding a material with a genuinely different depth and roundness than the conventional cold-pressed oil ever achieves.

As the pure wax is solid at room temperature, we supply it at 50% in IPM (isopropyl myristate) — a lightweight ester that gives a notably clear, workable pourability while preserving the material's full aromatic complexity.

Scent Profile

A sweet, sun-ripened citrus opening — juicy mandarin peel with genuine depth and roundness, considerably softer and less sharp than the cold-pressed essential oil. Subtle floral warmth develops alongside the citrus character, adding an unexpected gentleness that gives this wax real sophistication. The overall impression is comforting and radiant rather than sharply zesty — mandarin at its most rounded and gourmand-adjacent.

Perfumery Applications

An excellent way to introduce genuine citrus warmth into compositions without the fleeting volatility of standard mandarin essential oil — its waxy, more grounded character gives it better staying power as a supporting citrus note. Well suited to gourmand compositions, soft floral-citrus accords, and warm oriental structures where a rounded, sweet citrus facet is wanted rather than a sharp, bright top note.

Packaging

1ml sample supplied in a 5ml clear flint glass bottle. 5ml, 10ml and 30ml supplied in amber glass bottles — all with inbuilt droppers and tamper evident caps.
