Raspberry leaf absolute is one of perfumery's most quietly celebrated contradictions. It carries the name of a fruit that everyone knows, yet smells almost nothing like it. What emerges from the leaves of Rubus idaeus — harvested in France and extracted by the master perfumers of Payan Bertrand, Grasse — is something altogether stranger, darker, and more compelling than any berry: a rich, complex, leathery-green material that has been prized by natural perfumers for generations precisely because no synthetic can replicate what it does in a blend.

This absolute is sourced exclusively from Payan Bertrand — one of the oldest and most respected natural ingredient houses in Grasse, with a heritage in fine fragrance dating back to 1854. Scent Profile

The opening is succulent, tart, and intensely green — not the sweet candy of raspberry fruit, but something wilder and more botanical: crushed stems, sun-warmed leaves, and the tart sap of a bramble patch in high summer.
