Lilac Flower CO₂ Wax — The Elusive Spring Bloom in Concentrated Form

Lilac is one of the most beloved and most genuinely elusive florals in natural perfumery. Despite its familiar, much-loved scent, true lilac essential oil and absolute simply do not exist commercially at any meaningful scale — the flowers yield almost nothing through conventional extraction. This CO₂ wax, drawn from Syringa vulgaris, is one of the very few genuine ways to capture real lilac character from the living flower, alongside our existing Lilac Blossom Absolute and CO₂ Extract, making this the third and final expression in a genuinely rare three-part lilac collection.

As the pure wax is solid at room temperature, we supply it at 50% in TEC (triethyl citrate) — an odourless, citrus-derived carrier that restores workable pourability without compromising the material's delicate, powdery-floral character.

Scent Profile

Soft, powdery, and gently green — a delicate spring floral character with a characteristic cool freshness that immediately evokes lilac blossom on the branch. Subtle sweetness underlies the powdery-green top notes, developing into a soft, comforting floral heart without ever becoming heavy or cloying. This is lilac exactly as memory recalls it — quiet, nostalgic, and genuinely difficult to find in authentic botanical form.
