Part of our Professional Perfumers Range — curated for the discerning natural perfumer seeking exceptional depth and rarity.
Fir Needle Absolute (Also known as Fir Balsam)
Botanical Name: Abies balsemea
Origin: France
Part Used: The Needles
Colour/Appearance: A green brown colour of thick viscosity. May need gently warming in a Bain Marie before use.
Scent: A green, resinous, balsamic and fresh scent reminiscent of ancient Pine Forest
Production Method: Solvent Extraction
Note: Middle to Base Note (excellent fixative)
Uses: For Perfumery only
Blends well with Ambrette, Peru Balsam, Bergamot, Boronia, Clove, Geranium, Hay, Orris, Patchouli, Vetiver and Vanilla
When used in a low dilution, Fir Needle Absolute imparts a fresh, natural coniferous forest fragrance to a vast selection of perfume compositions and can be blended with many different essential oils.
All pure absolutes such as this oil are now rare and extremely concentrated by nature. They should be properly evaluated in a diluted state otherwise, the complexity of the fragrance, particularly the rare and exotic notes are not properly appreciated.
Pure Absolute Oils should always be diluted with a carrier oil such as grapeseed oil or sweet almond oil before using on the skin. A patch test is recommended to see if your skin is sensitive to the product.
For External Cosmetic Use Only
Keep away from eyes & sensitive areas. Not suitable for babies or children. Do not use on broken skin. Avoid all Absolutes if pregnant or nursing
Iml sample supplied in a clear flint glass bottle with inbuilt dropper and tamper evident cap
5ml, 10ml & 30ml supplied in a glass amber bottle with inbuilt dropper and tamper evident cap
Certificate of Analysis is available on request.
