Botanical Name - Viola odorata
Origin - Upper Egypt
Part Used- The blossoms and roots
Appearance: Light greenish colour medium viscosity liquid
Composition: Steam distillation of the roots and blossoms

Main Uses- For perfumery and in creating your own blends. Skin care products.
Note- Base to Middle Note

This oil can be used in a diffuser or oil burner.

Authentic Violet essential oil from the flower petals which is traditionally extracted by Enfleurage is almost impossible to find these days and costs hundreds of UK pounds for a small bottle as it takes a huge amount of blossoms plus time and effort to produce a tiny amount of oil.
Our Egyptian Violet Essential Oil is the next best thing but at a very affordable price.
It has a sweetly soothing, warm and distinctive floral scent of Violet, the oil being steam distilled from the roots and blossoms of Viola odorata .

Please note that we also sell a violet LEAF essential oil also from Egypt which has a slightly stronger leafy violet aroma.

Blends well with: Violet oil generally blends well with other essential oils and is perfect as a fixative. Specific pairings include Tuberose, oils from the floral family, Clary Sage, Lavender, Benzoin, Cumin, Basil, oils from the citrus family, Sandalwood, Geranium, and oils from the spice family.

For External Cosmetic Use Only

Pure Absolute Oils or Essential Oils should always be diluted with a carrier oil such as grapeseed oil or sweet almond oil before using on the skin. A patch test is recommended to see if your skin is sensitive to the product.
