Important Note: White mineral oil is fundamentally different from plant-based carrier oils. It is a petroleum-derived product composed of saturated hydrocarbons, not plant fatty acids. It contains no vitamins, fatty acids, or botanical compounds.

Mineral oil has been used in cosmetics and pharmaceuticals for over 100 years and is one of the most thoroughly studied cosmetic ingredients. The term "white" indicates it has been highly refined to pharmaceutical or cosmetic grade, distinguishing it from industrial-grade mineral oils.
