Description

Botanical Name: Ocimum basilicum.

Origin : Tanzania.

Cultivation: Organic cultivation.

Basil originates from tropical Asia and the Pacific Islands, but is now cultivated throughout Europe and the USA. The plant is an annual hairy herb growing up to 1 metre (3 feet). The oil is extracted by steam distillation from the leaves and the flowering tops.

The dilution is at 10% in a Jojoba and Vitamin E base which helps to preserve the oil. Being quite strong it can be diluted further if necessary and can be used straight on the skin however a patch test is always recommended to see if your skin is sensitive to the product.
