Botanical Name: Anethum sowa.

Plant Part: Seeds.

Extraction Method: Steam Distilled.

Origin: India.

Anethi is an annual herb of the parsley family and has a distinctive but mild caraway-like flavour. A winter crop, dill requires a well-drained, sandy soil with full exposure to sunlight. The sub tropical and temperate regions of India, particularly the northern parts, produce high quality dill. This essential oil is pale yellow but darkens with age and has a characteristic pungent aroma – fresh, sweet, herbaceous and slightly earthy (resembling that of caraway).

The dilution is at 10% in a Jojoba and Vitamin E base which helps to preserve the oil. Being quite strong it can be diluted further if necessary and can be used straight on the skin however a patch test is always recommended to see if your skin is sensitive to the product.
