Basil originates from tropical Asia and the Pacific Islands but is now cultivated throughout Europe and the USA. The plant is an annual hairy herb growing up to 1 metre (3 feet). The oil is extracted by steam distillation from the leaves and the flowering tops.

If used in cosmetic skin care preparations Basil oil has effective anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties which may be useful to treat acne and pimples. It can also be used for treating insect bites as a repellent. Basil Oil can also be used as an anti aging agent as it is a rich source of flavonoids and antioxidants.

In Aromatherapy Basil Essential Oil is used as it’s naturally a stimulant. This essential oil is incredibly uplifting while at the same time soothing and calming to the nerves.

For External Cosmetic Use Only

The dilution is between 5-10% pure Essential oil in a base of Organic Grapeseed Oil and Natural Vitamin E Oil. Being quite strong it can be diluted further if necessary and can be used straight on the skin however a patch test is always recommended to see if your skin is sensitive to the product.

Available in 10ml, 30ml, 50ml sizes

Supplied in a glass amber bottle with inbuilt dropper and tamper evident cap
