Orris Root Pure Essential Oil

Botanical Name – Iris pallida, Iris Florentina
Origin – Morocco

Extraction Method – Hexane Free Organic Extraction
Appearance – Pale yellow to brown coloured, slightly viscous liquid
Scent – Powdery, green and woody and reminiscent of violet flowers
Note – Base Notes (Excellent Fixative)

Growing Conditions – Grown on unpolluted sustainable land.

Orris Essential Oil is extracted from the roots ( rhizomes) of the Iris pallida which is cultivated in Morocco. The mature rhizomes of the plant produce Irones which gives the beautiful and distinctive powdery notes of Orris. The higher the concentration of irones the stronger the powdery note will be.

Pure Essential Oils should always be diluted with a carrier oil such as grapeseed oil or sweet almond oil before using on the skin.

A patch test is recommended to see if your skin is sensitive to the product.
