Rhododendron Essential Oil is steam distilled from the young green leaves of the Rhododendron anthopogon plant which is also known as Himalayan Dwarf Rhododendron. This beautiful plant grows wild in the Himalayan mountains of Nepal. The essential oil produced from steam distillation has a fresh fruity but floral, faintly balsamic scent with herbaceous undertones. The Himalayan people also gather the dried leaves which are then burned as incense to sanctify and and produce a calming environment.
