Ginger is a perennial herb and grows to about 3-4 feet high (approximately 1 metre). It has a characteristic thick spreading tuberous rhizome.

Oil colour: Light yellow

Ginger essential oil blends well with bergamot, sandalwood, ylang-ylang, and other spice oils.

Aromatic Scent:Ginger has a warm, spicy, woody scent with a hint of lemon and pepper.

History:The plant is said to originate from India, China and Java, but is also native to Africa and the West Indies.

Pure Essential Oils should always be diluted with a carrier oil such as grapeseed oil or sweet almond oil before using on the skin. A patch test is recommended to see if your skin is sensitive to the product. If blending into creams, lotions, body butters etc, 1-2% maximum of the pure absolute oil or essential oil to 100% of the product is usually about right.
