Vetiver absolute Oil is a healing oil to the body and mind. It is organically solvent extracted from the thin, long dense roots of the highly aromatic Vetiveria zizanoides grass which grows wild in the rain forests of India. It is also commonly known as Ruh Khus, Khus Khus and Bunchgrass Essential Oil. Vetiver has a sweet intense smoky, resin-like aroma. It makes an excellent natural perfume fixative with an effective base note that holds lighter top notes to the skin.
Absolutes which are solvent extracted rather than being steam distilled are stronger and more concentrated than Pure Essential Oils. Being an absolute It is also a lot harder to find and more expensive than the pure essential oil.
Pure Absolute Oils or Essential Oils should always be diluted with a carrier oil such as grapeseed oil or sweet almond oil before using on the skin. A patch test is recommended to see if your skin is sensitive to the product.
