Tonka Bean Absolute Oil

Origin – Brazil from a sustainable source

Appearance – Pale brown to dark brown coloured (solid when cold but liquid when gently warmed)
Scent – A rich warm caramel aroma with hints of vanilla and almond
Main Uses – Natural perfumery and for creating your own blends. Cosmetic use
Note – Middle to Base, being an excellent fixative

Growing Conditions – Organically crafted that is to say not certified as organic but grown on unpolluted sustainable land.

Tonka Bean Absolute produced from a sustainable source is extracted from the seeds (beans) of the fruit of the Dipteryx odorata, also known as Cumaru or Kumaru which is a large tropical tree native to Central and South America.

Having a sweet caramel like aroma with hints of vanilla and almond it makes an excellent natural ingredient and fixative in natural perfumery.

Pure Absolute Oils or Essential Oils should always be diluted with a carrier oil such as grapeseed oil or sweet almond oil before using on the skin. A patch test is recommended to see if your skin is sensitive to the product.
