Seaweed Absolute is extracted from Bladderwrack Seaweed which grows along the rocky shoreline of Northern Europe. It is often used as a fixative in perfumery producing interesting results due to its complex middle to base notes .
Seaweed can also be used in a lot of different cosmetic products as it has soothing and calming qualities. As it is high in antioxidants Seaweed can help prevent skin ageing effects. In Aromatherapy it is deeply relaxing and grounding.
Pure Absolute Oils or Essential Oils should always be diluted with a carrier oil such as grapeseed oil or sweet almond oil before using on the skin. A patch test is recommended to see if your skin is sensitive to the product. If blending into creams, lotions, body butters etc, 1-2% maximum of the pure absolute oil or essential oil to 100% of the product is usually about right.
