Perfumers historically used many bases in the construction of their perfumes.
The amber accord is a fundamental pillar in perfumery. Comprised of balsam (Copahu or Peru), vanilla, cistus, opoponax, and labdanum, it imparts warmth, depth, and sensuality to fragrances.
Amber readily blends with floral, chypre, oriental, spicy, and woody compositions. Its versatility allows for harmonious pairings with frankincense, vanilla, myrrh, tonka bean, and a multitude of other fragrant elements.
In essence, the amber accord is a versatile and alluring element that enhances the beauty and complexity of fragrances. Its warm, resinous facets add depth and dimension, while its sensual undertones evoke feelings of comfort and intrigue. Pure Absolute Oils should always be diluted with a carrier oil such as grapeseed oil or sweet almond oil before using on the skin. A patch test is recommended to before use to see if your skin is sensitive to the product.
