Lavandin is a hybrid variety of lavender and looks very similar to true lavender, but produces twice as many flowers. It also has woodier stems and a slightly stronger scent.
Lavandin is considered to have many of the same benefits as lavender, in that it’s thought to be calming, healing and soothing.
It is harvested in Provence France between July and August, when the bunches are individually cut and tied, before being air-dried in the summer breeze. Lavandin in absolute form is a rarity. It is classed as a top note and blends well with floral, citrus, spicy and woodsy oils.
Please Note, This is a rare and highly sought after oil and stocks are limited.
All pure absolutes such as this oil are now rare and extremely concentrated by nature. They should be properly evaluated in a diluted state otherwise, the complexity of the fragrance, particularly the rare and exotic notes are not properly appreciated.
