Blackcurrant Bud Absolute also known as Cassis Absolute is extracted from the buds of the Blackcurrant bush which comes from the Burgundy region of France.
It has a very rich fruity aroma with warm, green earthy undertones. It is often to be found in expensive perfumes and because of its natural antiseptic, astringent and anti-inflammatory properties is also used in skincare products as it helps to soften and nourish the skin.

Pure Absolute Oils or Essential Oils should always be diluted with a carrier oil such as grapeseed oil or sweet almond oil before using on the skin. A patch test is recommended to see if your skin is sensitive to the product. If blending into creams, lotions, body butters etc, 1-2% maximum of the pure absolute oil or essential oil to 100% of the product is usually about right.
